Bus Tour of Cork
Hop on board our red double-decker bus for your Cork sightseeing tour. Our tour lasts approximately an hour and comes with English language commentary. Our experienced drivers also add their unique insight into the best attractions in Cork. Our upper deck is partially enclosed for your comfort but there is also an open top seating area. The tour includes convenient stops at Cork's most popular cultural and historical attractions - Cork City Gaol, the Shandon Bells, U.C.C and the award winning Glucksman Gallery, the English Market, art galleries, shops and restaurants.
Opened in 1824 and closed in 1923. Often referred to as the "Womens Gaol", a spectacular escape was made from here in November 1923.
A covered market for fish, fruit, meat and vegetables. The origins of the market can be traced back to 1610, but the current building dates from 1786.
Established as one of three Queens Colleges (Cork, Galway and Belfast), UCC opened it's doors on 7h November, 1849.
The City Hall was opened in 1936 and replaced the previous structure that was burned down on 11 September 1920. It's six limestone Tuscan pillars and copper-domed clock tower are particularly impressive by night.
